beyerdynamic launches the DT 30 IE stage monitor at $159.99
A single 11 mm dynamic driver in a 2.7 g shell, sold on up to 39 dB of passive isolation and a neutral tuning, as the entry point to beyerdynamic's professional in-ear range.

beyerdynamic has launched the DT 30 IE at $159.99, the cheapest way into its professional in-ear line. It uses a single 11 mm dynamic driver, weighs 2.7 g per side, claims up to 39 dB of passive isolation, carries an IP54 rating and terminates in MMCX, with an over-ear memory-wire cable and spare filters in the box.
39 dB is a large isolation figure, and it is the specification a working musician should check first, because a monitor that leaks is a monitor that gets turned up. The claim is also testable in a way the tuning is not, since isolation depends on the tip and the seal, so any measured figure only holds for the fit it was taken with.
