Simgot EW300

Curated intelligence

Universal Summary

The Simgot EW300 is a roughly $70 tribrid: a 10mm ceramic composite dynamic driver, a 6mm planar and a piezoelectric ceramic tweeter inside a CNC machined metal shell, with two swappable nozzles (silver steel with a red O-ring, gold copper with a purple one). Reviewers agree on three things. Sub-bass reaches deep with real rumble and stays out of the midrange, the metal shell is light and comfortable and needs no amplifier at 28 ohms, and detail retrieval, separation and imaging land above what the price normally buys, which is why several reviewers name it a gaming pick. Almost everything above 1 kHz is contested. One camp hears a warm, slightly dark set whose treble lacks brilliance. Another hears a V-shaped, upper treble boosted set that turns sibilant or fatiguing on female vocals. The midrange splits the same way, lush and full against scooped, thin and clinical, and the nozzles are called anything from subtler than a tip swap to a drastic change. Two reviewers measured channel imbalance on their own units, one of them alongside a visibly misaligned internal component.

Strengths

  • Sub-bass extends deep with genuine rumble and stays controlled, without bleeding into the lower midrange
  • Detail retrieval and instrument separation are repeatedly called a clear step above the sub $100 class
  • Imaging is precise enough that several reviewers recommend the set specifically for competitive gaming
  • Compact CNC metal shell is light, properly vented and comfortable for long sessions despite the material
  • Two swappable nozzles plus foam filters and spare O-rings give real, not cosmetic, tuning adjustment

Weaknesses

  • The lower midrange is recessed in nearly every account, leaving male vocals thin and sometimes muffled
  • Treble is polarizing: the upper treble boost brings sibilance on female vocals for several listeners
  • Piezo and planar timbre artifacts surface as metallic, papery or splashy on cymbals and analog percussion
  • Mirror plated finish holds fingerprints, nozzles are short enough to need tip hunting, and the cable ships only in 3.5mm

Best For

  • Competitive gaming and any listening where imaging precision matters more than midrange warmth
  • Budget listeners chasing detail retrieval and separation rather than a natural, full bodied midrange
  • Phone and dongle users, since 28 ohms and 121dB/Vrms need no separate amplifier
  • Buyers who want two usable tunings in one purchase and will actually swap the nozzles

  • Isolated reportMisaligned internal component

One reviewer looking down the nozzles reported that an internal component appeared misaligned, or at least aligned differently, between the left and right earpieces on his unit. He explicitly says he does not know whether it points to a broader manufacturing problem. No other source repeats this observation.

SIMGOT EW300 REVIEW: Lush and Punchy

Hears a warm, slightly dark set with fabulous bass, and finds the two tuning nozzles only subtly different, less audible than a tip swap.

Consensus & Conflicts

Where reviewers disagree

Real reviewer conflicts are shown side by side instead of being averaged into a fake middle ground.

Overall tonal balance

A warm, slightly dark set: full bass, warm mids and a forgiving top end that lacks brilliance and richer overtones.

Held by: https://www.headphoneer.com/simgot-ew300-review/, https://primeaudio.org/simgot-ew300-review/

A V-shaped set with an obvious upper treble boost that reads as analytical and turns fatiguing or piercing on female vocals.

Midrange body

Lush, rich and full bodied, with enough note weight that vocals stay warm and natural.

The lower mids are scooped, so male vocals go thin or muffled and the presentation edges toward clinical.

How much the nozzles actually change

The difference is minor and confined to the upper mids, less audible than swapping ear tips, and barely visible on the curves printed on the box.

Held by: https://www.headphoneer.com/simgot-ew300-review/, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0bVRZ1g19Q

The nozzles change the signature drastically, enough that the silver and gold configurations need separate listening notes.

Piezo and planar timbre

Timbre artifacts are audible: metallic upper treble, papery analog percussion, and a splashy planar to piezo handover on cymbals and hi-hats.

Held by: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0bVRZ1g19Q, https://primeaudio.org/simgot-ew300-review/

Timbre is truer than rival Simgot sets, with no PZT zinginess and only rare, mild unnaturalness.

Soundstage size

The stage pushes past the head in width and the separation gives a genuine sense of space and layering.

Held by: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0bVRZ1g19Q, https://www.hifioasis.com/reviews/simgot-ew300-review/

Stage size is average to slightly above average, and intimate next to airier rivals such as the EW200 or the Letshuoer S08.

Reviewers agree on

  • Sub-bass reaches deep with satisfying rumble and does not bleed into the midrange
  • Detail retrieval, instrument separation and imaging exceed what the price normally delivers
  • The CNC metal shell is well made, light and comfortable, and the set is easy to drive from a phone or dongle
  • The lower midrange sits recessed relative to the elevated bass
  • The mirror plated finish on the standard version is a fingerprint magnet
