Empire Ears Odin MKII
Open pageCurrent approved coverage treats the Odin MKII as a genuine summit-fi revision rather than a cosmetic refresh. MajorHiFi’s dedicated review and Odin comparison both point in the same direction: the MKII keeps the Odin line’s elite resolution and bass authority, but adds more sub-bass body, fuller mids, smoother treble, and slightly more immersive spatial layering. It remains a high-price flagship built around scale, grip, and precision, but the tuning now feels less sterile and more emotionally engaging than the original. The main caveat is value: it is still priced for committed flagship buyers, and its presentation remains more intense and performance-led than relaxed or easygoing.
Strengths
- Exceptional resolution, layering, and flagship bass control
- Fuller and more organic midrange than the original Odin
- Refined treble with strong air and less fatigue risk
Weaknesses
- Extremely expensive even by flagship IEM standards
- Still tuned more for performance and impact than laid-back comfort
- Not the broadest value proposition unless you specifically want a summit-fi statement piece
