FiiO's SNOWSKY GAME TAIL is a gaming dongle with a dedicated microphone port
On FiiO's published 2026 roadmap for a summer release, GAME TAIL is a USB dongle DAC aimed squarely at mobile gaming, with virtual 7.1 and a separate microphone input.
FiiO's publicly posted 2026 product schedule lists the SNOWSKY GAME TAIL, a USB dongle DAC and amplifier built for mobile gaming rather than for music. It adds a dedicated microphone port and virtual 7.1 processing, in a housing styled after an NES controller, and is positioned as an entry-level product. FiiO scheduled it for July 2026 and has not published a price.
A microphone port is the practical difference here, because it solves the problem every dongle creates on a phone: taking the USB-C socket means the headset has nowhere to put its own microphone. Virtual surround is a DSP claim and a matter of taste. Output power is still the specification that decides what the thing can actually drive, and it has not been stated.
